![]() This section uses elements of vanes, wire mesh, or plates to remove the very small of the liquid droplets of liquid before the gas leaves the vessel. The exiting crude stream enters then enters a three phase separator where three streams of vapor, light. A crude oil stream is fed to the furnace at the rate of 5893 lbmol/h, a temperature of 100F and a pressure of 314.7 psia. Before the gas leaves the vessel, it passes through a mist eliminator. Pre-treating of crude oil feed Figure 1 shows our proposed process flow diagram (PFD) developed using Aspen HYSYS. Separator, Turbo expander, Mixer, Recyclers are selected to draw PFD. Some of the drops are of such small diameter that they are not easily separated in the gravity settling section. Components like compressor, LNG heat exchangers, J-T Valve, 3-Phase. As the gas flows through this section, the small droplets of the liquid that were entrained in the gas and not separated by the inlet diverter are separated by gravity and fall to the gas/ liquid interface. The gas flows over the inlet deflecting plate and then horizontally through the gravity settling section above the liquid. The liquid then leaves the vessel through the level control valve. ![]() This liquid collection separation provides the retention time required to let entrained gas evolve out of the oil and rise to the vapor space. ![]() The fall out of the gas stream to the bottom of the vessel is due to the force of gravity. The initial separation occurs at the deflecting plate. The fluid enters the separator and hits an inlet diverter cause a sudden change in the momentum. ![]()
